Doga Comic Story

Doga is a fictional character, an Indian comic book superhero character who appears in Raj Comics, published and distributed across India. Produced in 1992 by Tarun Kumar Wahi, Sanjay Gupta and artist Manu, Doga Raj is the first and only antagonistic character in comics. This character first appeared in a curfew issue.

Impressed by his past and his life, circumstances forced the orphaned Sun to fight against evil or lose everyone he once loved. To destroy the childhood evil and save his loved ones, Suraj hides his identity behind a dog's mask, adopts the name Doga and sets out to eliminate all evil against humanity. Doga is a vigilante who "believes in uprooting rather than solving the problem". He does not believe in upholding the laws and rules of the world because he considers the entire system corrupt.

Doga is considered one of the three most popular comic leading characters created by Raj Comics, due to his huge fan following, the other two being Nagraj and Super Commando Dhruva. His comics contain real-life stories, usually inspired by true events, that give his comics a realistic world from science fiction, making them more popular among mature readers.

Suraj was an orphan who was found as an infant in a dagger dump by a robber robber Singh, a ruthless dacoit who used it as a police raid to save him, but treated him like a dog ( Called him). Under Halakan's care, the child witnessed endless horrors, which ultimately led to him becoming a sociopath.

Eventually, he escapes from Halakan's den with a kidnapped girl, Sonu. Suraj's life took a better turn when he met Adhar Chacha (Hindi word for paternal uncle) and his brothers. He initially practiced in his gym, hiding from others. Seeing her devotion, Adrack allowed the child to use his gym (Lion Gym) to lift weights, which helped him build his muscles. He was also trained in martial arts under Haldi Khan (one of Adrak's brothers), boxing under Dhaniya Khan, and shooting under Kalimirachi Khan (youngest brother).

Suraj becomes Doga due to a personal tragedy that happened to his "family" sometime later. A former member of the gym, Kilota gained his place, and tried to permanently eliminate his rivals. Suraj was the only survivor of a massacre that survived the hired goons.

To take revenge, Suraj adopts Doga's ego by wearing a dog mask to hide his identity. He killed the Kilota gang and agreed to become a one-member army against organized crime, mainly in Mumbai.

He then killed the robber Halakan Singh, who had become a minister by then. Due to his one man army and brave image, people of Mumbai call him 'Mumbai Ka Baap' (Mumbai's Daddy).

In August 2008, Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap announced that he would make a film on Doga's character in a project produced by Sony International. Production was expected to begin in mid-2010. However, the project was postponed. Production is now expected to start from mid-2013 and Kunal Kapoor is playing the lead role.
